Celebrity Eclipse, the third of Celebrity's innovative Solstice Class ships, debuted in April of 2010. She joins Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Equinox as being the largest vessels to ever grace the Celebrity Cruises fleet. Although these ships are larger in size than the other Celebrity ships, they still attain the premium style, design, service and quality expected on a Celebrity cruise.
Among the many entertainment venues and things to do on a Celebrity Eclipse cruise are watching live shows each night at the three-story Eclipse Theatre. Possible performances may include elaborate Broadway-style productions, comedians, singers, dancers, acrobats and even game shows! Also on board Celebrity Eclipse is Fortunes Casino, a large, Vegas-style gaming venue that will feature popular games such as blackjack, roulette, craps, poker and slot machines. Other areas of the ship that are sure to attract guests are swimming pools, whirlpools, the tranquil adults-only Solarium, the Lawn Club, youth facilities (Fun Factory, for 3 to 12 year olds, and X Club, a VIP area for teens), duty-free shopping boutiques, library, an art gallery, photo gallery and Internet café.
There are many bars and lounges on board Celebrity Eclipse. Among them are signature Celebrity venues like Michael's Club, featuring the sounds of a grand piano, as well as the hip and classy Martini Bar, that has over 20 varieties of martinis. Also aboard this ship is Quasar, a modern and vibrant night club, Cellar Masters, featuring an impressive selection of fine wines from around the world, and Sky Observation Lounge (a lively yet elegant venue).
One of the standout features of every Celebrity Eclipse cruise should be the fantastic cuisine. During each evening of the cruise, dinner is available via a multi-course menu offered in a two-story main dining room (named Moonlight Sonata). The chic Oceaniview Café is a great place for a casual meal, via a large buffet with international dishes. AquaSpa Café is a relaxing option that offers guests simple and flavorful "spa cuisine." There are also a variety of specialty restaurants on board Celebrity Eclipse, each with a per person cover charge applicable to those that decide to enjoy them. Also available to all guests is 24-hour room service, a truly convenient option. |

Ship Highlights
AquaClassSM
These are fabulous accommodations aboard Celebrity Eclipse, particularly great for guests that enjoy spas. Select spa elements are incorporated into these rooms. For instance, these staterooms have a fog-free bathroom mirror, a tall jetted bodywash shower, a pillow menu, light dimmers, sounds and aromatic elements to enhance the soothing power of the sea, lavish AquaClass toiletries, oversized bath towels, plush robes, an upgraded room service menu, refreshing daily teas and bottled water. Guests staying in them enjoy special access to spa amenities, as well as assigned seating at Blu, the ship's health-conscious specialty restaurant (which is guaranteed to be available to all AquaClass guests, and is otherwise based on availability for suite guests).
Lawn Club
Located at the highest deck of Celebrity Eclipse, this is a freshly manicured lawn that features casual outdoor activities in a Country Club atmosphere. Possible activities include Bocce, croquet and golf putting.
Canyon Ranch SpaClub at Sea®
The AquaSpa by Elemis aboard Celebrity Eclipse is quite impressive, featuring a wonderful variety of treatments. Just some of the options available at this tranquil spa are massages, facials, acupuncture, tooth whitening, Medi-Spa cosmetic services, detox wraps, body therapies, and even YSpa services for teens. Also located in this area of the ship is a full-service, unisex beauty salon and a fitness center that has state-of-the-art exercise equipment and great classes (such as yoga, cycling and Pilates).
Hot Glass ShowSM
A truly unique event available on a Celebrity Eclipse cruise are the Hot Glass Shows performed live in the ship's custom outdoor glassblowing studio. This innovative offering was created by Celebrity in collaboration with The Corning Museum of Glass, an authority on glass and glassmaking history.
Specialty Dining
The standard dining options on a Celebrity Eclipse cruise are fantastic, but their specialty dining options truly take dining at sea to a elite level. Among these optional restaurants are Murano, Tuscan Grille, Silk Harvest, Bistro on Five and Blu. Murano offers guests multi-course meals that feature a blend of Classic and Modern continental cuisines, and a superb wine list. Tuscan Grille is an upscale steakhouse that has Italian wines and panoramic views. Silk Harvest is an Asian restaurant with a wonderful assortment of Japanese, Thai and Chinese favorites. Bistro on Five features sandwiches, soups, salads, fish and chips, and desserts. There is a per person cover charge for each of the aforementioned specialty restaurants. As mentioned above, Blu is a health-conscious restaurant that has been created with AquaClass guests in mind. As such, this venue is guaranteed for such guests, but is also available to suite guests (based on availability, with a cover charge for such guests). |
